摘  要：Operads have played an important role in both topology and algebra. It is well known that operads may be viewed as monoids in symmetric sequences. In topology, it is often sensible to work with unital operads and their (reduced) monads. I will discuss a variant of symmetric sequences monoids in which give unital operads. This is joint work with Peter May and Ruoqi Zhang.
