Title: Hyperbolic Estimates for Nonlinear Stability of Subextremal Reissner-Nordström I

Abstract: We establish a key hyperbolic estimate for the nonlinear positive-spin Regge-Wheeler system in perturbations of subextremal Reissner-Nordström spacetimes. Building on Dafermos-Rodnianski’s linear analysis on blackhole and Klainerman-Szeftel’s framework of nonlinear stability, we address new challenges from gravitational-electromagnetic coupling, which introduces worse nonlinear terms than in the vacuum case. Key improvements in quadratic terms via Einstein-Maxwell equations play a crucial role in our nonlinear analysis. This work is part of the speaker’s PhD thesis.
