Title: Mapping class groups of simply connected spin 5-manifolds

Abstract: We study the Torelli group of a simply connected closed spin 5-manifold M. For M with no 2- and 3-torsion in homology we compute this group explicitly. We also construct the generators of the Torelli group using Dehn twists. Furthermore, we determine the mapping class group of the g-fold connected sum of S² × S³ and its abelianization. Some applications will be discussed.
