摘  要：In a family of Diophantine equations it can be easier to solve “typical” or “random” equations than each individual equation. A guiding question is: “does the Hasse principle hold on average, after taking into account the Brauer-Manin obstruction?” I will survey several recent results of this kind for random conic bundles and Fano varieties. Some of these results use that Schinzel’s Hypothesis (H) holds for 100% of polynomials, as shown in a joint work with Efthymios Sofos.

报告人简介：Alexei Skorobogatov 博士毕业于莫斯科国立大学，师从著名数学家 Yuri Manin 教授，目前是伦敦帝国理工学院教授。他于2001年获得伦敦数学学会的 Whitehead 奖，并于2020年当选美国数学学会会士。他的研究兴趣为代数几何，特别是丢番图几何与有理点的局部整体原则。
